The Classes

Beginning Dance (3-4 yrs.) – This class encourage children to explore movement and discover their potential in a positive and happy environment.  Students tell stories through movement; explore the dance elements of shape, time, space, and energy; and practice basic motor skills.  This is an excellent and interesting approach to prepare children for future technical training in dance and/or sports.  Emphasis is on individual development and creativity.  1/2 hour

Pre-Technique (Kindergarten) – This class is designed to prepare the young dancer for the more technically demanding Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Tap classes.  Students explore the dance elements of shape, time, space, and energy in more depth and are offered a structured base to practice basic motor skills, develop rhythm, and learn basic moves of ballet, jazz, modern and tap techniques.   3/4 hour
