Academy of Dance is #67 in the parade line-up this year. Our meeting place is in the parking lot just east of the Hulman Center near 9th and Cherry Streets. You will not be able to drive and park nearby. Please park in one of the ISU parking areas and walk to our meeting place.
Arrival time: 8:30 AM on Saturday morning. We will start warming up then and rehearse before the parade starts at 9:00. Parents can either walk with their dancers or go to the end of the parade route at 5th Street near the Barnes & Noble to meet up after the parade.
Please pick up your child as soon as possible after they have finished.
If you need to contact us during the parade, please call Richard’s cell phone (812-240-5215) as Patti’s phone will be on Do No Disturb to play our music.
Please wear a black leotard, Anniversary t-shirt, Academy of Dance jacket, red pants, white socks and white shoes with the THAD headband. Hair should be in a ponytail.
If it is cold, please bundle up with coats, hats, scarves, etc. We can always put those in the back of the truck when the dancers get warm. Be sure to collect your belongings at the end of parade.
